                                         STATEMENT OF FAITH

  1. God is triune—one God, three Persons—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit having the same nature, attributes, and perfection. (Gen. 1:1,2,26, John 1:1-3)

  2. God the Father is everywhere present (Ps. 139:7-12), eternal (Psalm 90:2), holy (Ex. 15:11), all-powerful (Acts 4:24), all-knowing (Ps.1-6), sovereign (Psalm 93:1,2).

  3. God the Son, Jesus Christ, begotten of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, God in human form, but perfect. He chose to be our perfect sacrifice for sin. (John 1:1, Matthew 1:20).

  4. God the Holy Spirit indwells the believer at salvation. The Holy Spirit is the One who seals, indwells, guides, and empowers all believers. (John 3:5,6,8, John 15:26, John 16:8-11).

  5. Human beings are created in the image of God.Each person is a body, soul, and spirit.Adam and Eve disobeyed God and died spiritually (were separated from God).Since then, all have been born “dead” with a sinful nature. We sin because we are sinners.(Gen. 1:27, Gen. 2:15-17, Rom. 3:10-12, 23).

  6. We can do nothing to save ourselves from the penalty of sin.Salvation is a free gift of God, available only because of Christ’s shed blood, death, and resurrection. We receive salvation by believing that we are sinners and by believing in Jesus as Savior. Our sins are forgiven, and we are assured of eternal life in heaven with God.(Romans 5:8, Titus 3:5, Eph. 2:8).

  7. Jesus rose form the dead, ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father as the believer’s high priest and advocate. (Hebrews 1:3).

  8. Just as we are saved by grace through faith in Christ, the Christian life is lived out by grace through faith.Believers were created for good works lived out through His life and power in us. (Eph. 2:8-10).

  9. The Bible is the inerrant, complete Word of God written by men inspired by the Holy Spirit (2 Tim. 3:1, 2 Peter 1:21)

  10. Jesus Christ will return. (1 Thess. 4:16-17).

  11. At death, those who have trusted in Jesus as their Savior, immediately pass into His presence. (2 Corinthians 5:8)
